Have you ever faced a situation where Yahoo blocks access toyour email account from a third-party app? Some third-party email apps do notuse Yahoo’s branded sign-in page. But there is a third, hidden option: 'Allow apps from anywhere'. This used to be an option in earlier versions of macOS, but disappeared when macOS Sierra arrived. However you can get the Anywhere. “For this vulnerability to work, a user needs to download malicious third-party code from an unknown source, something Apple actively discourages with warnings about apps downloaded outside of the Mac App Store or from non-trusted developers. Click Allow From Anywhere when prompted. Doing this will allow you to install software from unsigned developers without having to confirm from within this menu. If you don't install any unsigned software within 30 days, you'll have to re-enable this settings. Click the lock icon if you'd like to prevent further changes.
Step 1: First, sign in to your Yahooaccount. And then go to the Profile Name in the top-right corner and click Account info.
Step 2: On the Yahoo accountsettings page, click the Accountsecurity tab in the left pane. You will be prompted to enter your email IDand password again.
Step 3: You can now see the Account security screen. Scroll down tosee the Generate app password option,and then click it.
Step 4: The App passwords dialog box will appear. News app wont open mac. Here you need to select anapp by clicking the dropdown arrow shown next to the Select your app option.
Note: In case you do not find theapp for which you need the password, select the Other app option. And then you can simply enter the customer namefor which you want access to your yahoo mail account. If you are using a 3rdparty software, you need to enter the company’s name that is providing thesoftware.
Step 5: Finally, click the Generate button to generate thepassword. You will see the password, you can copy the password to use it foryour app. Click Done.
Please note that the app password can only be used to sign into third-party apps. Your original password remains intact, and you can use itto log in to your Yahoo mail account just like you normally do.
